How listings work in Denver

Where the information comes from

Listings combine imported public business information, including Google business details and collected ratings, material available from business websites, and submitted corrections where applied. Some descriptions are prepared with AI assistance. Available fields differ between listings; some practices have no usable website material.

Publication means the record is available in the directory. It does not mean that the owner has confirmed every detail, that we have checked every claim, or that a person’s license or tax specialty is verified. A content-update date describes the profile content, not an independent check of every linked source on that date.

Location, categories and missing information

Regional results can include nearby communities; city-filtered results use the directory’s current city field. Category and location corrections can affect which results include a business. A practice’s address does not establish every area it serves, its licensing jurisdiction or the returns it can prepare.

This is our published inventory, not a census of every local firm or a ranking of professional quality. Missing hours mean unknown availability, not that the business is closed. Listed hours do not promise an appointment. Contact details and Google ratings can change after collection.

What “Featured · Paid” means

Featured labels identify advertising. Paying does not establish credentials, change a collected rating or mean that we recommend the business.

Paid featured placement puts an eligible business above standard results on its selected category page for one paid year. Several businesses may be featured; no exact position, first-page placement, leads, or homepage appearance is guaranteed. City filters, the all-category listing, and other visitor filters can hide the business. Keeping the profile published and eligible is necessary for it to appear.

Featured listings are ordered randomly on each fresh category-page visit, giving each eligible Featured business an equal chance of each Featured position. The order stays consistent while you browse further pages. Homepage Featured spots also rotate randomly. A business may appear in the same position on consecutive visits; exact numbers of views or equal exposure over a particular period are not guaranteed.

City-filtered Tax pages currently suppress Featured placement. Standard listings remain available without buying Featured. Read the professional listing and offer explanation for the current purchase route and its limitations.

What to check before hiring

• Confirm the named person, claimed credential and relevant experience.
• Describe the tax years, jurisdictions and tasks; ask what the written fee includes.
• Confirm availability and a secure way to exchange documents directly with the practice.
• Agree who helps with questions after the work is delivered.

Compare qualifications and official credential resources or use the printable quote-comparison worksheet. A category label is not a credential.

Report a correction or request removal

Use the existing correction/removal instructions and identify the listing URL and the specific public detail to change. If the practice is missing, use the free-listing contact instructions. Requests are reviewed; this is not an automatic ownership claim or a promise of publication.

Do not send returns, identity documents, financial records or portal credentials to the directory. Questions about a tax return, bill or appointment belong with the practice or relevant authority.
